‘The X-Files’ spoilers: New trailer promises more truth, Joel McHale, more

X Files -If there is one thing at this very moment that we can say about the upcoming revival of “The X-Files” over on Fox, it is that the network is certainly not shy when it comes to releasing trailers. Given the fact that this is only going to be for six episodes, we imagined at first that they were going to be more secretive than they have … even if most of these videos are not giving anything away that is too significant.

In this new clip below, you can see primarily Mulder and Scully getting themselves back into doing so of what they’ve become known for in the past, even though the odds once again seemed to be stacked very much against them. This promo also features the narration of none other than Joel McHale, who was one of the surprise guest stars announced earlier this year. He’s come along way from Jeff Winger!

Early details that have come out about the revival so far have made it fairly clear that the six episodes will be a mixture of standalone cases and one that will be revisited on multiple occasions. We feel like there is a certain intention to try to please fans who were disappointed by the last movie, but at the same time, we feel like the primary focus here is still mostly on delivering quality entertainment more than anything else. If people want more classic “X-Files,” why do anything other than give them what they want?

The six episodes are going to premiere starting on January 24, when the premiere will follow the NFC Championship Game.
