‘NCIS’ season 13 spoilers: First photo of Scottie Thompson’s return!
For those of you who have been interested in seeing a major blast from the past on “NCIS” in the form of Jeanne Benoit, the good news is that you’re not going to be waiting for too much longer.
On November 10, Scottie Thompson will officially return as the character from so many years ago, who had a more-than-complicated relationship with Agent Tony DiNozzo thanks in part to her father, his sense of “honesty” towards her, and so much more. Bringing her back at this point gives us an interesting chance to see if they can put the past behind them, and at least have some sort of friendship if nothing else. After all, we feel like it may be say that she is no longer a love interest since the character is now married.
Check out the synopsis below for “Saviors,” which is also going to feature the return of Jon Cryer as Dr. Cyril Taft, who made his last appearance in the premiere:
“DiNozzo is reunited with his ex-girlfriend, Jeanne Benoit, when insurgents in Sudan attack a group of volunteer doctors, including her husband. DiNozzo and McGee travel to the crime scene for the joint murder and kidnapping case and join the search for the missing doctors.”
We hope that getting Jeanne on board now is just the beginning of the show continuing to bring in more and more guest stars over the course of the season who we have some sort of attachment to. There is a big achievement coming in the 300th episode, which should give the show a chance to do some great things.

to all those who whine about the show and say Weatherly doesn’t get anything grow up. I have seen multiple stories where Tony has taken lead and had to deal with the past. Including cleaning up old messes. And had pity party time. Some of you really don’t watch the show. And I mean really watch the show. Second of all Weatherly is that guy on the show who does act like a goof off. He will tell you that himself and then so will the rest of the cast. His character is supposed to be the funny guy who is full of himself. Cause when he reveals a little at a time your supposed to be in shock over the character. So really turn the channel and go away so tired of the negative comments. If you don’t like the show go watch the muppets.

Tony fans bemoaning the character’s fate and treatment is getting as old and tiresome as the constant, futile requests for Ziva’s return. I, for one, am enjoying the show and I’m not harassing the writers to write what I loved before. Characters change, and if one doesn’t like the changes, one can just move on. Castle was “must watch”, “must DVR” for me, but I got bored with what was going on and moved on. I still enjoy most of the re-runs, but I don’t feel the need to waste my time watching the show I no longer enjoy and complaining about it. I have more important things to worry about. Maybe my situation is extreme (those who know me will understand), but is it really?

They had great chemistry. She’s a good actress. Can’t wait to see what happens. My only hope is we have smart funny witty competent very special agent DiNozzo.

All the anger from ziva fans is really really really funny.
You guys should find a hobby. I know! How about writing your own television show!

Isn’t that the truth. They are so blind to the fact that de Pablo simply doesn’t care what they think. She’s not coming back, and I am thrilled we don’t have to tolerate that character any more because she was awful.

I still change the channel if a repeat with Jeanne Benoit is one. Considering the comments by GG that have been reported regarding this reunion, I see no reason for it to happen.

Another whiny woman! No thanks, silly Bishop is more than enough!
Jeanne should have been killed ten years ago when she accused Tony of murder! By the way my girlfriend insists that she never was Tony DiNozzo’s but Tony DiNardo’s GF!
Scottie is a great actress but apart from the Ziva haters posting here the audience wants Ziva back and TIVA reunited!

Even Michael Weatherly stated in interviews that “tiva” never happened. I believe he compared it to the Easter Bunny – not real. It was all innuendo and bait and switch. Ziva treated Tony like herpes and she was smug and cold unless she was throwing herself a self pity party. Tony and Jeanne actually connected romantically. Tony actually loved Jeanne, who didn’t treat him like crap. Season 4 was the last time the writers seemed to be allowed to feature Tony. With Shane Brennan NCIS became the wonders and tragedies of ZIva show and now with Gary Glasberg NCIS has become the wonders and tragedies of GIbbs show with his trusty second in command McGee getting the left over flattering writing that doesn’t go to Gibbs. Tony doesn’t figure in anymore as a great agent or significant character. I’m quite sure despite what Glasberg hinted early on that the Jeanne story will be a one and done. Let’s face it, since McGee is going along Tony won’t get to be the hero anyway.

There never was a “Tiva” except in the minds of deluded fans. Even Weatherly said so, and he had zero interest in there ever BEING a “Tiva.” And now that Glassberg has announced that de Pablo IS NOT COMING BACK, give it a rest. The vast majority of fans are sick of having to wade through the zbots whining posts.

Uhm, Ziva ALSO accused Tony of murder and, rather than just getting him arrested, assaulted him, pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him herself. Under your reasoning, shouldn’t Ziva have been killed then, as well? Oh, of course not, because somehow you bunch always find ways of justifying your hypocrisy and her actions.

Even for married Jeanne I have one general statemant : go back and find another guy to blame in your problems.

I’m actually hoping that with her coming back, it will be a chance for Tony and Jeanne to actually talk, for them to actually forgive each other for what happened in past, and for him to realise she’s moved on (as she’s married) and so can he.

I’m not really looking forward to this as I didn’t care for Jeanne, nor the whole undercover romance storyline and it seems a little soap opera-ish to me but I will say that it feels a bit like they might be setting Tony up to leave and if this helps to bring him some kind of closure, fine. I would ultimately love to see him end up with Ziva, though :)

I have no interest in seeing Ziva. I wish that Jeanne’s return would signal that the show would actually care about the character Tony for more than an episode, but I doubt that this will be the case. Without a doubt, we’ll be back to the tragedies of Gibbs, the up and coming awesomeness of McGee, and the dramas of Bishop, for the remainder of the season. Tony has become (at least for the powers that be and the writers) a character who gets his one and done and then is pushed back to insignificance so that Gibbs, McGee, and Bishop can be pushed forward every week. This is so disappointing as a fan of the show whose favorite character is/was Tony.

I am excited that we’re finally getting an episode which might actually give Tony something interesting to do. I would love it if Jeanne was a recurring guest and could possibly be a romantic interest for Tony again, but once Tony actually gets an episode that isn’t a joke, we’ll probably be back to GIbbs, McGee, and Bishop getting all the dramatic arcs again. Too bad – Tony hasn’t been much but the team joke for years and years and Michael Weatherly is so interesting to watch on the those rare occasions when he gets drama. I miss seeing him portrayed as a heroic, fearless agent. I hope we get some of this in Saviors since it will likely be Tony’s one and done for the year.

Well, if her husband doesn’t get rescued and is killed by the insurgents, then that would put her in the available category, again.

As much as I liked Jeanne until she was turned into a whiny, clingy, revenge-oriented bitch by the showrunner at the time, I hope that she’s not coming back as a romantic interest for Tony. I think there’s too much bad history between them for it to ever work. What I do hope is that they’ll honestly talk to each other, forgive (or start to forgive, at least) each other, and for Tony to realise that Jeanne has moved on and now he can too.

I would like for Jeanne to return and become part of Tony’s story again but I seriously doubt this would happen since the show never gives Tony any stories that last more than an episode. If Jeanne’s return does wind up meaning that Tony can move on so to speak, I have this feeling that he’ll be moving off the team. I think they’re setting up an exit for the character. GIbbs (and maybe Mr. Harmon and certainly Mr. Glasberg) haven’t seemed to like him for several years now, never giving him compelling stories, writing him as insignificant agent who lacks dedication, team buffoon, second class agent to wonder boy McGee, and who is obviously distrusted and disliked by GIbbs. I think they are going to show Tony the door by the end of this season. It’s just a shame the way they’ve squandered Weatherly’s talents. It’s as if they don’t want to give him any opportunities to shine as an actor or his character to shine as an agent.

Ok, respecting your opinion and not really caring but why Harmon? He is NOT writing Scrips, he’s not the show runner. He’s an executive producer. There is NO evidence that Harmon has anything against Weatherly or his character. Why are people constantly putting the blame on him? Blame it on the showrunners and writers and even on Weatherly. He’s supposed to stand up for his character – not Harmon. Hell, I’m as sure as hell not a fan of Harmon but this constant bitching and blaming at this man for things he has no control over is really starting to annoy me. Leave him alone. Write to CBS and the ones responsible for the characters – including Weatherly – but stop bashing Harmon for things you’re are personally not happy with.

It just seems like a suspicious coincidence that as Mr. Harmon’s power increases (first getting rid of Bellasario and becoming a producer, getting rid of Brennan and becoming an executive producer) Tony’s role has diminished and his character has become increasingly ridiculous. His character adds almost nothing to the case solving and Gibbs, McGee, and Bishop are always the ones in the exciting scenes, but mostly GIbbs. In interviews Glasberg has stated that he and Harmon consult everyday and it seems Mr. Glasberg’s job is safe. The show has become all about the tragic wonderfulness of hero Gibbs and the writing makes it quite clear that Tony is not allowed to shine as a character anymore unless he has egg on his face. I think Harmon has a great deal of power over the show and while McGee and Bishop are written as serious agents, Tony is never the hero anymore and has become the team buffoon.

Harmon never requested to get rid of Bellisario. He requested for changes regarding the production and he did that in the name of the cast and crew. The network and Bellisario made the decision, not Harmon. You are just spreading false accusations about this man. Why? Because a tv show and a certain character doesn’t go your way. You’re not better than the Ziva whiners because they spread dirt about Harmon because of their own issues. And again: It’s a known fact that the cast can walk up to the writers and showrunners if they’re not happy with something. So again: Blame Weatherly for not doing what you want! And stop spreading lies about people an their Business because you know nothing!

I have read numerous discussions that Mr. Harmon gave an ultimatum – either Bellasario be shown the door or Harmon would walk. Although I was not a fan of the show at that time, this has always been the way this rift has been discussed. I don’t claim to know for a fact that Harmon is in on the all Gibbs all the time agenda of Glasberg or that he is the one who decided after season 4 to turn Tony from a sexy, clever, indispensable, funny doofus of a great agent into simply a doofus, but the timing is quite suspect. Only on the rarest of occasions (the last time was in Truth or Consequences, 7 years ago) do we ever see anything close to hero, brave, smart Tony of the first four seasons. The change has been remarkable. It’s as jarring, extreme, and out of character from the original Tony as if they changed a Gibbs into a Palmer.
As for the actors feeling free to complain about their characters, I just remember a few years ago, after Shane Brennan left and Glasberg hadn’t begun his agenda of turning Tony into the team’s joke, Weatherly made a comment that he was glad not to be the idiot child in the corner anymore. Maybe some of the actors don’t actually have the clout to set the agenda for their characters.

What you read are rumors, nothing officially confirmed by either Harmon or CBS. I don’t recall Bellisario ever talking about it so in fact, you’re spreading and repeating old rumors. Just like the whiny Ziva fans who take everything to bash Harmon because you know, he’s so evil because he never showed any reaction to their letters, cards, fishes and paperclips and all that stuff. Even Weatherly has stated numerous times that Harmon is the star of the show, Gibbs is the main character. If you watch other ensemble shows you’ll notice that the main character is featured more than others. That’s the way it goes. It is nothing new. NCIS is, in the end a TV show that is supposed to entertain people. If you or anyone else has a problem or more with it, then you have the opportunity to change the channel, watch older episodes or watch other work of your actor. Nobody is forcing you to watch the show, nobody is paying you to watch the show. Also, you’re making Weatherly look like an idiot with your comment “some of the actors don’t have the clout to set the agenda for their characters.” It is a known fact for many years that all the actors are able to reach out to the writers etc. if they have a problem, question regarding their characters. Did it ever come to your mind that Weatherly is indeed satisfied with his character? If he wasn’t, he would either stand up for himself because he can do that very well or he would have left a long time ago. And just because you’re unhappy with something, does it give you the right to repeat the same things over and over again like a 100 times on one single article? You’re repeating yourself all the time, blame Harmon, Glasberg, Writers and everyone except for the one who’s portraying your favorite character.
