‘Madam Secretary’ season 2 spoilers: Eric Stoltz arrives as Elizabeth’s brother

The second season of “Madam Secretary” has spent a lot of time dealing with Russian politics so far, but coming on November 8, you are going to see some of that combined with struggles in the Middle East courtesy of “Catch and Release.” This episode will feature Eric Stoltz as Elizabeth’s brother Will, and also a wide array of problems thanks for a surprising tie between an American and terrorist group ISIS, you you are probably familiar with already if you read the news on a regular basis.

Just in case you are interested in a few other details about this story, including what is going to happen when Henry is forced to make a key decision, take a look at the synopsis below:

“After an American aid worker is killed in Syria by the first known American ISIS leader, Elizabeth recalls all aid workers stationed there, including her brother, Will (Eric Stoltz), and makes it her mission to get justice for the victim. Also, Henry is conflicted when Dmitri asks for help saving Ivan (Dennis Staroselsky), who has been called back to Moscow.”

By the time we make it through this episode and to the other side, the primary thing that we have to hope for is that the show manages to bring in some personal history between Elizabeth and Will without sacrificing some of the intensity of that moment. Since this is a show that does have a history of juggling a variety of different things (often successfully), we have a feeling that they are going to continue to do this here, as well.
