‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7, episode 4 video: Show bosses on the Heaven & Hell ball, necromancy

Given that Thursday night’s new episode of “The Vampire Diaries” may very well be considered their “Halloween episode,” it only makes sense that there would be a pretty crazy episode all about necromancy coming up.

Specifically, we are going to see Damon do what he can to convince Alaric and Bonnie to practice some of their research on a certain someone who can benefit him … but as executive producers Julie Plec and Caroline Dries reveal in the video below, necromancy almost never goes well. This is probably even more true when you’ve got people who are still trying to figure everything out.

The person at the center of all of this drama is none other than Valerie, whose moves against Oscar are self-serving and put a damper on some of Damon’s own plans. In turn, her history with Stefan also makes things complicated.

There is nothing more Halloween than bringing someone back from the dead, but the upcoming episode is about more than just that. There is also the arrival of the Heaven & Hell Ball; dances are in one way or another traditional for this show, but this one is going to be rather different thanks to the presence of many Heretics. Plec and Dries comment that this is the first time that either one of them have been at a college party like this, so you have to assume that by and large, this is not going to go very well.
