Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Flash” is entitled “The Fury of Firestorm,” and it really should not be much of a surprise at all that the team at STAR Labs is going to seek out someone new to join forces with an ailing Martin Stein. It’s been known for a long time that Victor Garber was a regular on DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow,” and there have already been photos such as the one above of Jax Jackson (played by Franz Drameh) wearing the famous costume of the character.
So even though there is not much drama surrounding Ronnie Raymond (RIP) being replaced as one-half of the superhero, there is still going to be plenty of suspicion regarding how Caitlin is going to be feeling about the idea of someone stepping into his place. The selection process is something that Danielle Panabaker describes at length in an interview with Entertainment Weekly:
“That’s what’s especially hard for Caitlin, and maybe ultimately cathartic about this experience, is she’s so connected to Stein and cares so deeply about him and for him, because he’s the last connection to Ronnie [Robbie Amell] … She’s particularly invested in taking care of him, getting it right, not messing this up, and making sure that his next partner is just as good, if not better than Ronnie was.”
We’re personally not worried about whether or not Drameh will bring it in this role, since he was hired for a reason. Our main concern with “The Flash” and “Arrow” alike is whether or not fans are going to be happy spending several weeks effectively launching “Legends of Tomorrow” just as much as they are continuing their own story. In between getting Firestorm back here and also “Arrow” reviving Sara Lance, we’re spending a lot of time on people who will not be regular parts of these shows in the second half of the season.
Speaking of Caitlin, did you catch the new photo of her as Killer Frost from this weekend? If you missed it, you can see it over here! Also, sign up here to get some further TV news in a flash via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: The CW.)
