‘The X Factor’ UK review: Did Mason Noise, Josh Daniel, Che Chesterman make Nick Grimshaw’s team?

Yesterday, we had a chance to see Nick Grimshaw’s acts on “The X Factor” perform at Judges’ Houses, and ITV decided to save the results for the Boys until tonight.

So who did he end up selecting? Our feeling was that Seann Miley Moore, Josh Daniel, and Che Chesterman would be the picks based on talent (as described in our review), and also based on who would have a chance to collect votes. We weren’t ruling out Simon Lynch either, though, based on the fact that he has talent, humility, and looks a little like Robert Pattinson.

Nick admitted that he made up his mind before the audience even got involved in the live show. The biggest surprise? He took Mason! It’s a bold move; while he is extremely talented, we do wonder whether or not he will be able to handle the problems that come with being under such scrutiny.

Following Mason’s selection, Nick then went with Che. Given his voice, we understand why he would want to keep him around for a little while longer. Now, the last selection: Seann. We’re stunned that Josh is not in the final three, given that he had the biggest moment of the entire season so far with his “Jealous” performance. We’re not sure that Nick made the right choices when it comes to getting voices, but they were certainly bold ones. These three could all sell records in their own way. Mason is controversial but talented, Che has a great voice, and Seann is completely unique. There are not many people out there like him.
