TV Quick Hits: ‘The X-Files’ teaser coming; possible ‘Twin Peaks’ return; ‘Baby Daddy’ season 5 extended
“The X-Files” continues its promotional push – There are a select few out there who have gotten a chance already to see the first episode of the much-anticipated revival on Fox. Now, we’re at least seeing when some other fans can get a chance to check out some new footage.
Per TVLine, the latest teaser for the show will air during Monday night’s “Gotham,” which is another incentive to watch that show if you haven’t been already. Trust us when we say that it has become so much better than it was during most of the first season. “The X-Files” will return on January 24 after the NFC Championship Game, and will actually air in the place of “Gotham” on most weeks after that until its six episodes are done.
“Baby Daddy” extended – For those of you who enjoy the ABC Family Comedy, rest assured that you are going to be getting much more of it than you first anticipated for the upcoming fifth season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show now has ten more episodes, which brings the overall order to 20. That’s great news for this series as it continues to approach the key 100-episode milestone that most comedies want to get to for syndication purposes (though we know many will syndicate at this point with anything higher than 88).
“Twin Peaks” rumor – This time, it’s all about Mädchen Amick. In a post on her official Twitter account, she shared an image and a caption that should have you very curious about if she will appear on the upcoming Showtime revival of the cult hit. Filming for it is super-secretive, though, so don’t expect much in the way of confirmation anytime soon.
