‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: When could the Dark Swan story end?
We’ve heard already that there are some components to the Dark Swan story on “Once Upon a Time” that could end up lasting the entirety of the second season. However, that does not mean in the slightest that we’re going to be seeing Emma as the Swan herself for the same length of time.
Recently, show co-creator Adam Horowitz posted the script page below on Twitter, and it makes it very clear that “Swan Song” is the title for the eleventh episode of the season … which could end up being the midseason finale. As many out there likely know, “swan song” is another way of saying “the end,” so unless this is some obvious misdirection, the show may be clearly wanting us to see we are getting near the end of the road when it comes to this particular story.
Would the timing be right to end the Dark Swan story at midseason? Both yes and no. We do think that most fans of the show want to see what life could be like for Emma on the other side, and nobody wants to necessarily see her be evil forever. However, at the same time we also think that you want to avoid the trap of predictability. More often than not, this show does have a tendency to give us much of the same thing over and over again; a beginning, a middle, and an end over the course of 11 episodes.
We’ll probably get a chance to see more of what the producers are planning to do over the course of the coming episodes. Therefore, stay tuned to get some further news all about the show and more.
