‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9 spoilers: Are Sheldon, Barry Kripke about to fight to the death?

How is Sheldon going to handle jealousy on “The Big Bang Theory“? The simple answer is “not well.” We knew already that Barry Kripke is basically the new Wil Wheaton in terms of him being his nemesis, and this is probably going to escalate big-time on Monday night’s episode thanks to one simple fact: You are going to have a chance to see Barry show an interest in Amy Farrah Fowler.

Are Amy and Sheldon together? Not even close at the moment, but that does not mean that he is going to be even remotely willing to have Barry be with her. We like to envision the photo above as Sheldon challenging Barry to a sword-fight in an effort to prove his mettle and ensure that Barry is not worthy. However, do you remember the last time that these two got together for a showdown in a gym? It ended up being one of the worst displays of athletic ability in the history of mankind.

The biggest thing that we expect from this episode is comedy and plenty of it. We also wonder why in the world Leonard is also dressed in fencing gear. Is this a tag-team match, or is Leonard there to practice? Who knows; maybe we are creating the entire narrative about Sheldon and Barry’s trial by combat in our brain because that is what we’d like to see.
