There are few things more soul-crushing in the world of “Shark Tank” than a brutal takedown from Kevin O’Leary. He may go by the name of Mr. Wonderful, but when you do something he finds slightly less than wonderful (to put it frankly), he is going to let you know … and he’s not always going to be nice about it.
The inventor of EZPeeZ, a product designed to make potty-training even easier for little ones, finds all of this out the hard way in the sneak peek below from Friday night’s new episode. Kevin tells him to take it out behind the barn and shoot it, but interestingly enough, the guy counters by bringing back some of Kevin’s own personal history. (Unfortunately, comebacks really don’t get you anywhere in the realm of Mr. Wonderful.)
We like this guy’s fight, and as we mentioned in our recent preview article, we don’t think that the product itself is necessarily terrible. We don’t think that it’s really much of a brand on its own, but this is the sort of thing that you could stick in an infomercial and sell a lot of really quickly. It’s also a decent idea for licensing, provided that there is some sort of patented technology behind how he has created a toilet seat that can morph into a smaller toilet seat for toddlers who are potty-training.
After watching this we’re not going to say that the odds of EZPeeZ securing a deal are particularly high, but haven’t stranger things happened in the Tank? We like to think so.
We will be back late Friday with a full review for this episode, but for now be sure to head over here to get some further news on everything we cover, sent right over to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: ABC.)
