‘Chicago PD’ season 3, episode 4 preview: First look at ‘Debts from the Past’

Chicago PD -While you could say that Sophia Bush is by and large the star of “Chicago PD,” one of the reasons the show works is because at the end of the day, it’s more about the ensemble. These characters support each other, and they all have pasts that are worthy of exploring. Take, for example, next week’s installment entitled “Debts from the Past.” The synopsis below does not even mention Lindsay, but it does contain many surprising pieces of information about Ruzek and Burgess’ relationship, and then also some struggles for Voight and Olinsky thanks to some ghosts coming back to haunt them:

“After surviving a hit against him, Voight (Jason Beghe) is convinced the culprit is a criminal he and Olinksy (Elias Koteas) once put away and is determined to catch him before he injures anyone else. At District, Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) accidentally spills information about Ruzek’s (Patrick John Flueger) past which unsettles Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Platt (Amy Morton) assigns Burgess and Roman (Brian Geraghty) a high society dognapping case.”

There will of course be more to this story that is not apparent here, but you’ll have to wait for a little while longer to learn about that. What we know is that with “Chicago Fire” now underway, be prepared to see more of Molly’s and more of these worlds bleeding together.

One other interesting thing worth noting right now? This episode is going to be followed by two episodes back to back the following week, which will get the episode count for both this show and “Law & Order: SVU” even once again.
