‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Is Mark Hamill returning as the Trickster?

Hamill -

For all of those who had a great time seeing Mark Hamill on “The Flash” the first time he appeared, we imagine that the following article will prove to be music to your ears: He’s coming back!

As first reported by ComicBook.com, the “Star Wars” star and genre icon will be returning in at least one episode as James Jesse, the mastermind and engineering specialist who also goes by the name the Trickster. This is a character who was first hyped-up thanks to his connections to the original CBS series “The Flash” starring John Wesley Shipp, and the producers had some fun pairing up the two actors again in some way.

Hamill’s return will ultimately just give “The Flash” another great thing to play around with, given that they’ve already done a tremendous job giving you many other things that you want this season. For one, you’ve got Zoom as the Big Bad, Jay Garrick coming aboard, and also the rise of Cisco Ramon as Vibe. We do think that the Killer Frost story is also coming, but this is one of the things that the show is keeping in its back pocket for a later date. There is a great deal of time to explore this, and can you imagine her maybe being the season 3 Big Bad? We’d love to see a female villain in this role, given that this is one of the things that “Arrow” and “The Flash” have not done yet.

New episodes of the show will be airing Tuesday nights on The CW. Stay tuned for more!
