NBC’s ‘The Voice’ preview: Adam Levine, John Fogerty prepare for Battle Rounds

VoiceThe Voice” season 9 has officially wrapped the Blind Auditions, which then of course is going to bring you to the next stage in the Battle Rounds. We’ve never been a huge fan of this stage, but we do at least like that Adam Levine has an adviser in John Fogerty who knows a ton about performing and giving the best performances possible. He’s no newbie to this industry, and has a lot of wisdom to impart.

One of the most effective parts of this particular preview (see the video below) is that it proves further that there is so much more to this show than what you see on TV. Sure, the coaches are around a little bit, the contestants also spend time with vocal coaches, the band, and in wardrobe making sure that all elements of the performance are on point. It’s really the work done away from the camera that matters the most.

So who out of Adam’s team has made an early impact? Viktor Kiraly is someone we expect to see on the show for a long time, as are Jordan Smith, Shelby Brown, and Manny Cabo. Maybe one or two of them ends up in the live shows on another team, but it’d be a shocker if they are not still around based on the amount of screen time they’ve had.

The reality here to us is that Adam’s team is for the most part stacked, even perhaps more so than any of the other coaches. He’s also got at least a few different genres as opposed to someone like Blake, who is once again very country-heavy.
