‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: Captain Hook’s father to be cast; Emilie de Ravin story possibilities

For all of those wanting to see just where a certain pirate in Captain Hook comes from on “Once Upon a Time,” you’re going to get a chance to find out in the near future!

While at New York Comic-Con today for a panel discussion about the hit ABC show, it was revealed that Colin O’Donoghue’s character will be given further backstory, and we will specifically get a chance to meet his father in flashbacks. The character has not been cast as of yet, so for those of you wondering if the character is actually Robin Hood in disguise, you better think again (though we’re not sure there were that many people thinking that in the first place).

Also, TVLine reports that the show has not made a formal decision one way or another just yet as to whether or not Emilie de Ravin’s real-life pregnancy is going to be written into the show. While the prospects of a Belle – Rumpelstiltskin baby could be interesting, the reality is that at the moment the guy’s in a coma. It’s hard for them to start up that process until he comes out of it, not to be crude or anything.

New episodes of “Once Upon a Time” are going to continue to air while you wait for these stories to factor in on Sunday nights, with the primary goal remaining trying to figure out whether or not there is some sort of way to save Emma Swan from her particularly dark fate.
