‘Quantico’ episode 2 preview: Is Alex Parrish really trying to run?

The series premiere of “Quantico” on ABC Sunday night wasted no time when it comes to setting up some of its mysteries, with us specifically referring to the story of Alex Parrish above all others. This is a woman who at the FBI training academy, appeared to be doing most of the right things and preparing for the best career possible. So what happened between then and the present? That is now the central mystery.

In the sneak peek below, Priyanka Chopra’s character is on the run from the FBI, who want to bring her in to try to figure out how she managed to stage one of the most brutal attacks on New York City since September 11. Here is the issue: She claims that she is completely innocent, and has no idea why there was a person almost dead in her apartment. It’s possible that she was set up, or that this was completely coincidental … though we feel that is unlikely.

All Alex claims that she needs is one day to try to prove her innocence, so let’s just hope that she is rather resourceful in that time. We don’t imagine that the FBI is going to be letting her off the hook if she cannot find anything to clear her name.

If the show continues with this trajectory, we’re going to remain excited to see what’s next. We like how they have set up the dual narratives with New York and Quantico, and find most of the characters so far fairly compelling. Let’s just hope now that it stays that way.
