‘Chicago PD’ season 3 spoilers: Is more trouble coming for Ruzek and Burgess?

Chicago PD -Even though Ruzel and Burgess may have become engaged at the start of “Chicago PD” season 3, one thing remains fairly clear: This is not a show where happy endings are easy to come by. Maybe Ruzek loves the idea of being engaged, but is that the same thing as being ready to get married? We’re not so sure that it is.

One of the significant bumps in the road for the two could make itself clear in the upcoming October 21 episode entitled “Debts of the Past,” where you can end up seeing what happens when some information about Ruzek’s history comes out and makes things awkward for him and his fiancee. There’s of course much more to this episode beyond this, and you can read up on it in the synopsis below:

“After surviving a hit against him, Voight (Jason Beghe) is convinced the culprit is a criminal he and Olinksy (Elias Koteas) once put away and is determined to catch him before he injures anyone else. At District, Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) accidentally spills information about Ruzek’s (Patrick John Flueger) past which unsettles Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Platt (Amy Morton) assigns Burgess and Roman (Brian Geraghty) a high society dognapping case.”

The unfortunate thing is that other than discussing the Ruzek story, what else is there in here that we can speak out about of context? Much of it feels fairly procedural, and despite being one of the primary stars of the show, Lindsay (Sophia Bush) is not even mentioned. She’ll probably still have a role on the show, but just not in the forefront. The same goes for Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer).
