‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ season 3 spoilers: Show boss on what’s next after big premiere events

From start to finish, there was so much in the way of good stuff that happened during the season 3 premiere of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” Jake and Amy decided to be publicly in a relationship, we saw the arrival and quick death of Bill Hader’s character, and there was of course also Captain Holt dressed as a giant pigeon. We’re not sure that anything will ever top that ever.

So what is going to be next for the series after all of this? If you’re looking for a good template for everything coming up, the following courtesy of executive producer Dan Goor (per The Hollywood Reporter) serves as that and then some:

“I think the next few episodes are very strong. The next episode is the funeral for Bill Hader’s character and that’s a really fun episode. And the third episode is one of the strongest episodes we’ve ever done. It’s got a great premise: Charles (Joe Lo Truglio) falls for a woman he meets in the hallway of a courthouse and is about to ask her out when he finds out she’s being sentenced to 10 years in prison. So Jake and Charles are on a quest to prove her innocence, and it’s a really funny story. The A, B and C story are all really funny. The start of the season is really strong, but the premiere I’m really happy with. It’s very difficult to answer all the questions we set up in the finale.”

As for Jake and Amy’s relationship, don’t take them putting their relationship out there for all to see as proof that they will stay together and live happily ever after. Goor told the publication that this is something that the writers are still figuring out. Also, it appears as though you are going to see Holt back at the Nine-Nine at some point in relatively near future.
