‘The Walking Dead’ season 6 promo shows you Norman Reedus, Andrew Lincoln, and shadows

Walking DeadGiven that we are now a mere three weeks away from the season 6 premiere of “The Walking Dead,” AMC has to start getting things going on a whole new level in preparation for the upcoming fall season. That is what they clearly choosing to do from a promotional perspective.

During the fourth episode of “Fear the Walking Dead” on Sunday night (which aired during the Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday), the network aired what was their latest promo for “The Walking Dead” season 6. It was a cool, atmospheric clip, but not one that really did much when it comes to talking about the story. Instead, it focuses shadowed versions of many of the main characters, which included the likes of Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Carol (Melissa McBride), and many others.

Basically, the promo that we saw is a shorter, modified version of the one below, which the network released a little bit earlier this month. If you’ve seen it, then you at least have some sort of inkling of what AMC brought to the table here.

For the most part, we do like what the show is doing this season. Back during the past couple of seasons, the show really did spend a lot of time hyping up the zombies and some of the danger. This time around, they are focusing on the characters themselves … which is pretty great, given that they are the reason we are still watching.
