‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Vanessa teaches Liz and Steve cards

Yes, on the surface cards is an exceeding boring subject for a “Big Brother 17” live feed article, but we feel that there is a certain element of subtext to what we’ve seen this afternoon between Liz, Steve, and Vanessa.

Here is how it goes: Vanessa teaches Texas Hold ‘Em and some other games to her fellow housemates, and as a result you get a sense of how conservative they are. Neither Liz nor Steve are that interested in betting with their money, and are therefore okay with simply not playing dangerously. Meanwhile, Vanessa clearly loves to gamble and take those risks. This is why she’s sitting in a great spot to win this game, and while they are ultimately not. She has a more cutthroat attitude, and who knows? Maybe this will help her dramatically in the final Head of Household Competition Wednesday … though there is an aspect of luck that goes along with it.

One of the things that we’re going to do our best to keep a close watch on over the course of the coming few days is whether or not Liz really starts to make any serious deal with Steve to save herself. It’s not that she really needs to, but it would show us a little bit more about her skill as a player than someone who seems to be completely reliant on Vanessa. So far, not much.

The feeds will be going down before long, so one thing we are going to be doing soon, in addition to final updates, is laying out our field of All-Stars from this season. It’s going to be a little trickier with this cast, but there are at least some standouts.
