‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 7: LL Cool J still grateful for show success at Emmys
The season premiere of “NCIS: Los Angeles” is coming up on Monday night on CBS, and we know that it is going to be a completely insane hour of TV. After all, Callen’s status is very much up in the air, and with that there is the question still inevitably about whether his relationship with the rest of the team will ever be the same after this whole quest regarding his father.
While Hetty is the person he may be in the most need of a long conversation with when the dust settles a little bit on the show, let’s not discount completely here the current state of things between Callen and Sam, who is of course his primary partner. While LL Cool J would not give too much scoop (nor was he really asked) on the red carpet for the 2015 Emmy pre-show on E! Sunday night, he did continue to stress that the entire cast and crew “have a lot of” watching this season, and especially commended them for supporting the show since the move to Mondays.
In TV terms, the seventh season of any show is a time to not only reflect, but also look towards the future. Many standard TV contracts tend to expire either after the sixth or seventh season, so there is of course a lot of uncertainty and you have to see how the ratings are come the spring.
The good news for “NCIS: Los Angeles” right now is that based on LL’s comments, the show may still have some more life left in it. Let’s just hope that it still gets a nice group of people watching in just over 24 hours.
