‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: How Damien Darhk goes after Oliver Queen
There are a wide array of reasons to be interested in Damien Darhk as an “Arrow” villain, but one of the most noteworthy ones at the moment is simply that he is not just a villain going after a man in a costume. We’ve already made it clear that he is not afraid to be in the public eye, and that is going to manifest itself even further in some of his interactions with Oliver Queen.
Interested in getting some more information on the subject? Then just take a look below at what executive producer Wendy Mericle had to say in a chat with Entertainment Weekly:
“Oliver’s going to be taking up more of an overt role in terms of the city is in a bad space … He’s going to be taking on Damien Darhk, and he’s going to be fighting him not just as Green Arrow, but also as Oliver Queen. It’s public and it’s part of him stepping into the light.”
Darhk is not someone who will be going away in the early going in season 4; the show cast Neal McDonough with the intention that he’ll be there a while, and we have already learned many surprising things about him … including that he seemst o have some sort of power to stop the Green Arrow’s signature weapon in its tracks.
The show returns on Wednesday, October 7, and you better believe that you’re going to see Darhk play a role almost right away.
