‘Big Brother 17’: NFL schedule delays show to 8:30

Tonight’s “Big Brother 17” episode is hopefully going to be entertaining enough for some of you to have to alter your entire programming schedule. After all, thanks to NFL football starting up (otherwise known as the bane of many viewers’ existence), Sunday’s installment is not going to be coming on until 8:30 p.m. Eastern time, other than in a few select markets where it will be delayed for a few more minutes.

Granted, we’re not sure that every person out there wants to really see all of this episode anyway, given that some of it is going to be a visit outside of the house for Liz and Vanessa to an Ariana Grande concert … and of course, Frankie was also there. If you love Frankie, this is probably the greatest thing you’ve ever heard in your life. If you loathe Frankie, you’re probably going to want to DVR some of this and skip over some segments featuring all of this (which really bears little gameplay insight, so you’re really not missing much).

As for whether or not this sort of thing could continue into next week, much of it will depend on the NFL schedule. For the most part, though, the next installment on a Sunday (otherwise known as the last one of the season) will be more of a retrospective showing you some familiar and unseen moments from the game. The finale airs on September 23, and then we’re left to wait until 2016.
