‘The X-Files’ revival premiere will screen at New York Comic-Con
For everyone out there who is anxiously awaiting to see what “The X-Files” decides to do with their revived version of the series, there is a place you can go to see it … provided that you’ve already got a badge and all of that other good stuff.
It was announced today that come October 10 at New York Comic-Con, the first episode of the show’s big return to Fox entitled “My Struggle” will screen at the event’s Javits Center Main Stage, marking the first time the public will get to see it. Chris Carter and David Duchovny will be there to discuss the episode afterwards, with longtime fan and upcoming guest star Kumail Nanjiani serving as moderator.
Suddenly, we have a feeling what the main attraction of the entire convention will be, given that it has been years since the show was around and this is a chance to actually see it well before it premieres on Fox after the NFC Championship Game on January 24. We also hope that this is one of the most well-policed things ever, since there’s sure to be one person in there desperate to get some bad bootleg on the internet. We’re a believer in waiting, mostly so that we can see it in the quality that was intended.
There are only six episodes in the upcoming new “season” of the show, and while it seems for now that this is just meant to be a limited series of sorts, we do wonder what will happen in the event that this actually becomes a ratings smash. Wouldn’t they at least consider more?
