‘Chicago PD’ season 3 spoilers: Olinksy scoop!

We have spent a great deal of time in previous “Chicago PD” articles about the likes of Lindsay, Halstead, and Voight; so how about we give Olinsky a little bit of love in this one? This is a character we’ve come to know over time, and that includes finding out a little bit about the child he never knew that he had.

While there are going to be a variety of different advantages that come along with having someone like this in your life, the reality is that for this character in particular, there will be difficulties. As executive producer Matt Olmstead explained to TVLine, seeing her is going to bring in “an uncomfortable window into his past, when he was heavy undercover, lost, living in the garage.” Meanwhile, he did add that many of his friends and colleagues are going to “all pitch in to help carry the weight, because it becomes a bit too much to bear.”

This Olinsky story is one of the many interesting things about the third season, which more than anything else looks to be a really solid evolution from everything that we have seen play out over the course of the series so far. We are getting to know more about these people, and this means also getting to see a few more of their flaws here and there.

The new season of “Chicago PD” will premiere on September 30 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern with a story that puts Halstead in jeopardy, and will allow Lindsay to find a way to work again with the police to try and rescue him. Olinsky’s story is probably going to be more of a consistent thread.
