‘Bachelor in Paradise 2’: Carly Waddell releases song; Kirk DeWindt talks shocking moment

Tonight “Bachelor in Paradise” season 2 is going to come to a close on ABC, but before we start to talk about that episode, let’s at least spend a minute or two longer discussing the most shocking moment of Sunday’s episode: Kirk DeWindt’s decision to break things off with Carly right before the final dates of the season.

Ultimately, it’s easy to see why Carly was heartbroken over what happened. She never saw this coming, and Kirk probably could have told her about some of his doubts long before he did. Maybe Kirk thought some of them would go away and they didn’t, and now he has to go to “After Paradise” later tonight and speak face-to-face with Carly about all of this. Right now, he doesn’t have the majority of public sympathy on his side.

Just in case you were curious about how the two are reacting to the big moment last night, they are taking very different strategies. Carly has released a song on her Soundcloud about how she was feeling in that moment; meanwhile, Kirk shared a quote and said that he was grateful for the time that he spent with her.

Is it possible that we see these two on the show again? We’d say that it is possible that Carly turns up again. As for Kirk, we feel like he’s done. We feel like once you have been on three seasons of any show in the “Bachelor” franchise, it’s really time you move on. Otherwise, you run the risk of becoming a joke like a few other people who shall not be named here. It’s either that or you just look really thirsty for fame.
