‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 3 spoilers: First details on premiere story for Tom Mison, cast

It has been a long, strange summer for fans of “Sleepy Hollow.” The first season was beloved by many when it aired on Fox. However, the second season ended up being thought of as a pretty epic disappointment. There was too much Crane family drama, and it took until near the very end for the show to figure out the right use for Katrina.

Now, the show is resetting going into the third season, and thanks to SpoilerTV we know some of the first details regarding the premiere episode “I Witness,” which sounds like “I Robot” but with more destiny talk and creepy stuff. The synopsis is below for your reading pleasure:

“With old enemies gone, Abbie and Crane are apparently moving on with their lives. However, the discovery of a mysterious tablet shows that there may be a new dark prophecy surrounding our Witnesses. The two team together, with the help of an old amulet, and continue their epic takedown of the forces of evil.”

Basically, by the time we make it to the end of the premiere, we may be able to better understand just where some of the stories for these characters could be going, and what some of the new stakes are for them. We know that eventually Betsy Ross (Nikki Reed) will be showing up in a major way, and there’s also that “Bones” crossover that seems completely random, but could also be a heck of a lot of fun.
