‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 spoilers: ‘UnREAL’ star Freddie Stroma cast

LogoUltimately, it feels like Freddie Stroma really could not have done two scripted shows that were more different over the course of the year. Fresh off of a role as British heir Adam Cromwell on Lifetime’s “UnREAL,” the actor is now heading over to Westeros and “Game of Thrones” season 6.

According to BuzzFeed, Stroma is going to play the part of Dickon, Sam’s brother who has so much more going on. He’s got more of the positive physical attributes, he’s not in the Night’s Watch, and he is set to inherit the family estate. Also, his name sounds like the sort of name an extremely arrogant guy would have.

While we’re thrilled to see Freddie get a gig on a show as good as this one, his status  on “UnREAL” season 2 is still very much unclear. Given that “Everlasting” the show is over, there’s no real reason for him to stick around production, even though there were many out there (us included) who ‘shipped him in a relationship with Rachel (Shiri Appleby). That series probably will not start filming until early next year, so there won’t be any conflict between that show and “Game of Thrones.”

One of the other great things about the HBO show is that because the cast is so enormous, you’re not going to get that much air time and therefore can film a guest spot without it eating up a ton of your schedule. It’s prestige without it being a tremendous hindrance in your ability to do other things.
