‘Daredevil’ season 2 spoilers: ‘The Butler’ star signs on

Daredevil -The second season of “Daredevil” is at this point one of the most-anticipated releases coming up on Netflix, and there are a wide array of reasons for that. One of them is that you are getting a chance to see a number of characters who either haven’t been on TV before now, or are getting a chance to really be done right here.

Here’s what we can tell you right now about one of the new additions. According to a report coming in from Deadline, Stephen Rider (Lee Daniels’ “The Butler”) has been cast to play the part of Blake Tower, a District Attorney for New York City who may end up being an ally for Daredevil (Charlie Cox) as he tracks down criminals.

Tower is a character originally from the comics, but it’s still much too early to know whether or not the show plans on staying faithful to anything there. What is mostly worth knowing here is that Rider is going to be a series regular, and with that in mind, he’ll be sticking around for a long time.

There is no specific premiere date for season 2 just yet, but before it comes on the air Marvel does have another series to launch on Netflix in a matter of months: “Jessica Jones,” which stars Krysten Ritter. From here, they are going to have a chance to introduce another one of their upcoming shows in “Luke Cage” starring Mike Colter.
