‘Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance’: Who was asked back but declined

Survivor -We’re going to be picking up some of our independent coverage of “Survivor: Cambodia: Second Chance” very soon over the next few days, but before we embark on the road of giving you our take on the individual contestants in our semi-annual spotlight series, we really want to comment a little on Dalton Ross’ new Entertainment Weekly feature, discussing with Jeff Probst some of the players who were asked to return only for them to say no.

Greg Buis – One of the best characters from the first season was interested, but couldn’t turn down a new work opportunity.

Jeff Kent – The former baseball star was asked, but didn’t seem too interested in going back at this given point in time.

RC Saint-Amour – She wasn’t interested, and figure it’s a combination of the whole “Blood vs. Water” disappointment (she and her dad were on the beach, but had to withdraw at the last second after he failed his medical) and also Abi-Maria possibly being a part of this season.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck – She’s probably never coming back unless her career suddenly starts to stall. What’s the motivation to come back here and starve when you’re making millions at home?

Alas, there’s no mention of if people like Sean Rector, Kenny Hoang, Michelle Yi, or Helen Glover were asked. These three have to come back at some point, right? We’d be super-bummed if they don’t get another chance.

For the record, we do think that Greg and RC will probably turn up in a season at some point, as will people like Mike Holloway and Tony Vlachos, who probably would’ve been in contention for the season if winners were eligible and they were available.
