‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: A lament on Vanessa and Steve

At this point in time, we’re not going to deny that Vanessa does deserve to win “Big Brother 17” if she makes it to the end. She has serious flaws to her game (too emotional, pushes too hard), but she’s still the only person going 100 miles an hour. Everyone else is driving under the speed limit, and she can arrange things in a way that benefits her.

Still, the part of her game that we really don’t love, even if it is effective, is how good she is at making other people feel really bad about themselves. Remember how pathetic she made Austin feel after a Julia lie to Jason that really didn’t have that much to do with her? Well, last night she continued to harp on Steve and get angry at him over a five-person anti-Vanessa alliance that was formed by he, John, and the Austwins. For some reason, he was the only person getting the blame for it, when its formation was a group decision. She made it clear that unless he made himself appear less sketchy and this and that, he would be going home … and then also reinforced that she and the twins are a block.

Ultimately, all of this was pretty depressing to us since the funny thing here is that we believe Steve wants to take Vanessa to the final two over the majority of the people in the house, and he is just trying to cover his butt for all situations.

If nothing else, he can hang his hat on the fact that John looks like he’s leaving on Thursday (at least for a few minutes), but we are starting to wonder whether or not Steve would change things up next week. After Vanessa has treated him the way that she has in the past 24 hours, we wouldn’t be shocked if he tried to seek some sort of revenge.
