‘Bachelor in Paradise 2’ review: Justin Reich complicates Joe Bailey – Samantha Steffen ‘relationship’

Monday night marked a new episode of “Bachelor in Paradise,” and for the most part, you actually had a chance to see some people establish real connections! It’s crazy to think about, but this actually did happen on a couple of occasions.

First things first, how do you not root for a couple like Juelia Kinney (pictured) and Mikey Tenerelli? While we have no idea if this is actually going to work, these two are at least very sweet to each other, and for now we consider it a nice turnaround from where we saw them not too far in the past, struggling to find themselves in real relationships on the show. We’re not how sure a wrestling-themed date really is, but they made it work.

Also, Carly Waddell and Kirk had a few nice moments over the course of the episode, showing that they are one of the more present relationships on the show. It’s funny that the most successful one may just be Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert, but they are barely on the show at this point unless they are on a date.

Romance over? At least somewhat, since we’re talking about Joe Bailey and the latest antics there. Justin Reich arrived and decided to ask out Samantha Steffen, mere minutes after Joe tried to ask Samantha for another chance in some cutesy way after he heard from the other women that Samantha was still thinking about him. We don’t really have any sympathy for Joe at this point given some of the comments that he’s made, but Samantha really is equally responsible right now for leading him on and placing him in this situation in the first place. Grade: C+.
