‘Chicago Fire’ season 4 spoilers: Tiny morsels on Dawson, Severide

We’re in a little bit of a strange holding pattern right now when it comes to news on “Chicago Fire,” and really the vast majority of network shows coming back this fall. It is still too early in the summer to see any new footage from them, and we’ve already heard some of the casting news that was going to be announced preseason.

Therefore, what we have to rely on here for the most part are a series of small teases coming in via social media, and that includes a pair of new teases from co-creator Derek Haas on Twitter.

1. We’re going to see a new story regarding Dawson and struggling to keep some sort of secret, presumably. Could her surprise at the end of season 3 become public knowledge soon? This tease is vague enough that it could be on a variety of different issues.

First and foremost, we still envision that her top priority is probably going to be doing whatever she can in order to figure out what happened to Casey, and how to help if at all possible.

2. Severide has some hard days coming up. That’s somewhat of a clear bummer for Severide fans, mostly because of the sole fact that Taylor Kinney’s character has been through so much already. Just remember here for a minute how long he suffered through what was taking place following Shay’s death this past season, and then the whole Scott Rice situation in the spring.
