‘Chicago Fire’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Mistresses,’ ‘Scandal’ alum set for big role

Brian White has to be one of the most sought-after people at the moment when it comes to TV gigs. He played a big part on “Scandal” season 5 as a love interest to Olivia Pope, and following that, he has also played the part of Principal Blair on “Mistresses” this summer.

Where’s his next big gig? Think along the lines of “Chicago Fire.” As first reported by Deadline, White has been cast to play a major recurring role as Dallas Patterson, who is the new Captain and someone who will be interacting with the firehouse throughout the season. Does this mean that Chief Boden is out? We wouldn’t exactly go so far as to say that, given that he is a Chief and this guy is a Captain. We imagine that both parties are going to play a role in the story.

There are many loose ends that need to be tied up during the opening episodes of season 4 starting October 13. for one, we gotta figure out just what in the world is going to happen with Casey after what happened to him, and there were also a few romantic changes to some of the other characters.

As for White himself, we are excited just to have him on board this show! He’s someone who we’ve seen can play imposing well, but we also know him to be someone who really can also play guys who have a softer, sweeter side as well. There are a lot of different layers to him.
