‘Chicago Fire’ season 4 spoilers: ‘The Vampire Diaries’ alum Stephen R. McQueen on board

Chicago Fire -For all of those waiting to see where Steven R. McQueen is going to end up following his time on “The Vampire Diaries,” we now have a firm answer for you: He is heading up to Chicago, and specifically doing a guest spot on “Chicago Fire” season 4.

Sources confirm that the actor, who famously played Elena’s brother Jeremy on the CW series, is going to be coming over here as potential new firehouse member Jimmy Borelli. There is not a whole lot else known about this character just yet, but we are happy to see Steven getting a chance to do something a little different so soon after his last gig. There is already a history of “Vampire Diaries” stars on this show, given that Taylor Kinney previously recurred as Mason Lockwood for a time. McQueen obviously had a larger presence for a longer period of time.

“Chicago Fire” has some business that it will have to attend to almost right away when it premieres on NBC in October. Namely, it will have to figure out how in the world to tell the story of Casey, who was not left off in a particularly great place the last time we saw the character. There are also some new relationships to explore and therefore new dynamics in the firehouse. Without “Chicago Med” also coming out this fall, that means the potential for more spin-off shows to go along with it.

Now that we are getting closer to the premiere, we are happy to have more scoop on the subject of the show. Head over here in the event you missed the title for the upcoming season premiere!
