‘Fear the Walking Dead’ video: Take a deeper peek into AMC’s new series

fear -The bad news at the moment is ultimately rather simple for all of those who enjoy AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead“: There is no new episode for at least a little over two more weeks. August 23 is the premiere date, but the network has produced a new behind-the-scenes video that does offer up a pretty good luck behind the scenes into what you can expect from the show.

First and foremost, this preview gives you a little more insight into some of what the overall themes of this series are going to be. Executive producers Dave Erickson, Gale Anne Hurd, and Dave Alpert are just some of the faces speaking out on the series, which brings such a different perspective to life around the zombie apocalypse. The entire first season is taking place in the time in which Rick Grimes is in a coma at the start of the series, and this is all about a blended family trying to understand what is taking place around them.

First and foremost, the family concept if the show makes “Fear the Walking Dead” at least similar in some ways to the original show, especially when you consider Rick, Lori, Carl, Shane, and all of the complications that were there early on in the show. Eventually, it did expand far beyond that, and we imagine that this show will also do the same.

With that said, we hope that this four-person core does end up staying together through most of the series. If that happens, it would stand out from the mold and could evolve in a different way than the flagship.
