‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3 spoilers: Further Simmons speculation

What position are we going to find Jemma Simmons in during the third season of Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD“? This is indeed a worthy question, but also one that there is no definitive answer to at the moment. All we know is what happened to her as a result of the Kree stone, and then the mystery that comes after that. Will she be more alien than before? We don’t have an answer to that.

With that being said, it does look like answers are coming fairly quickly! Speaking to TVLine while at the TCA Summer Press Tour party in Beverly Hills, Elizabeth Henstridge made it clear on Tuesday that the show is not going to waste much time before getting to the goods:

“Were going to find out what happened to Simmons pretty quickly … She’s definitely changed by the experience, and what’s happened to her is going to impact the season — kind of as a theme or something like that.”

Change is going to be very much an integral theme to the second season of the show. For example, we know that Skye is going to work into her new role as Daisy Johnson, and the Secret Warriors story is going to very much spawn out of that. There will be more characters with superpowers, and also probably a few assorted tie-ins to other aspects of the Marvel universe here and there. The new season starts in September, and while this is a pretty secretive show, we do envision still a few reveals here and there.
