‘Teen Wolf’ season 5 spoilers: ‘NCIS’ actress Marisol Nichols to play infamous Desert Wolf

For many months now, you have heard about the “Teen Wolf” legend that is the Desert Wolf. Now, we are finally going to get a chance to meet Malia’s mother in the flesh.

As first reported by TVLine, recent “NCIS” guest star Marisol Nichols, who plays Tony’s love interest Zoe Keates, will take on this part at some point later on in the fifth season. There is no specific timing for her first appearance, but given that we have gotten the sense already from the early going this season that there is some tension between these two characters (thank that jump in time), we cannot imagine it going too well.

Still, it will be nice to get some sort of official confirmation one way or another on this story, given that we have seen it as such a huge part of the discussion for “Teen Wolf” for quite a long time. Also, maybe it will start to allow the Malia character to have a little bit of closure.

This casting is the latest in a string of good news for Nichols as of late. In addition to her aforementioned “NCIS” role, it was recently reported that she is going to be appearing on the upcoming eleventh season of “Criminal Minds.” We’re not sure what the carryover between these two shows and “Teen Wolf” is when it comes to audience, but this appearance here may allow her to appeal to a very different demographic.

New episodes of “Teen Wolf” will continue airing Monday nights on MTV.
