‘Shark Tank’ revisited: The Home T, BeeSweet Lemonade, Daisy Cakes, iCPooch, BrandYourself

Sharks -Ready for more “Shark Tank“? Well, there are still no new episodes on the air until September, but today the show is repeating an episode that features some pretty familiar products. There’s especially one in BeeSweet Lemonade we could see being featured on some future update segments thanks to it coming from such humble beginnings and with a young entrepreneur behind it.

The update segment on Friday’s episode is going to be devoted to a variety of Barbara Corcoran investments including Daisy Cakes, a company who has shown itself over time to be one of the more successful food brands to turn up. As expected, they are still going very strong … and we really want cake now. (Also featured tonight: Cerebral Success, Grace & Lace, Villy Customs, Pipcorn, Ry’s Ruffery and Cousins Maine Lobster.)

BeeSweet Lemonade – There is not much that has changed here from when the show first aired; it is still the same products made with great ingredients, and a nice story when it comes to a young entrepreneur putting themselves out there. We’re still not entirely sure that this will ever be an enormous player in the beverage industry (it’s just so crowded), but we like how they are making themselves stand out with unique flavors.

BrandYourself – There is clearly value in having a good reputation online, and this business is there to help you ensure that there are some good results for you. The good thing about appearing on a show like “Shark Tank” for them is consistent exposure, especially this is going to matter more and more for people over time. It’s a good product, but probably one for just a select group of people.

iCPooch – The app is a sweet idea in theory if you are missing your pet: You can see him or her from afar, and even deliver a treat remotely! It’s a fun idea from that vantage point. Still, there is a glaring problem here when it comes to cost that remains somewhat unresolved. Unless you have an extra tablet or smartphone lying around, it’s hard to really see this being that useful to the majority of pet owners. The market is a little limited since most people want to take their devices with them.

The Home T – It is such a simple but effective idea for a fashion brand. So long as they continue to keep up with trends and introducing new designs (and they seem to be doing that), there is no way for hometown pride (or at least pride in their state) to ever go out of fashion. Some business from this show do have a tendency to overly complicate things.
