‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 spoilers: Emilia Clarke gives you more reasons to be excited

Just in case you were not properly amped up already for season 6 of “Game of Thrones,” know that the show is currently in the process of finding a way to be even more insane than ever before. How so? That part is a still a mystery, but we don’t think that Emilia Clarke would hand us some hyperbole on a silver platter for nothing. She knows that millions of people will watch the show without her having to hype it up.

Clarke spoke recently to the Daily Star, and here is just a small sampling of the news that she handed down when discussing some of what could be coming up through the newt ten episodes:

“I’ve seen some of the new scripts and I’m like a kid on a sugar high. I can’t handle how sick some of them are … We’re just going to hit the audience with every episode, coming up with something more mental that the last. I can’t believe some of the twists in store.”

To be fair, it is probably a little bit easier for Dany to have this sort of disbelief at the moment when you think for a minute about how she knew nothing about the story going into season 6, whereas in past years there was at least a road map via the George R.R. Martin book series. (With that said, Iain Glen said recently that the showrunners prefer the cast not to read ahead so that they don’t develop a certain expectation based on that.)

Season 6 is starting to film around now in Northern Ireland (not literally now; you get the picture), and will air on HBO at some point in the spring.
