‘The Blacklist’ season 3 video: James Spader, Megan Boone hype up future in Canadian preview

It is somewhat unusual for an American television series to get some sort of preview in Canada before here in the United States, but in the case of “The Blacklist” today we’re also not going to really complain. After all, Global is giving us a promo that contains a few tiny teases from James Spader, Megan Boone, Ryan Eggold, and many other cast members.

Granted, there is no new footage really in this promo, and at the same time it is not as though there is anything said by the actors that is earth-shattering. This promo is a little more reminder of where we are right now … which is in a very chaotic place. We have for sure a situation now where Liz Keen is on the run, and the challenge will be finding a way to figure out if she can ever be a part of the show in the same way ever again.

As for Reddington … well, he has always been the most evil of accessories. Part of the fun, as Spader insinuates, is going to be watching all of the pieces currently up in the air to see where they land. This is one of the most unpredictable cliffhangers that we’ve seen in some time; we want to see the show at least keep part of its original DNA (mostly in that we want plenty of Boone and Spader sharing time together on screen), but it’d also be nice to have a few changes to the formula, such as them approaching blacklisters in a different way than before.

The new season will air on NBC in America comes Thursday nights at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. We’ll have more soon!
