‘The Blacklist’ season 3 spoilers: Early scoop on Megan Boone – Diego Klattenhoff story

When we last season “The Blacklist” on the air, there was one thing that was fairly clear when it comes to Elizabeth Keen: She was in trouble. The organization that once employed her was now hunting after her, and she would have to figure out the proper means in order to escape.

Given that this show is about her at least being in some association with the FBI, though, it does not feel as though it is a good idea to assume that she is successful. This is really what this story is ultimately about. According to a new report coming in right now via Entertainment Weekly, we are going to see Megan Boone’s character make some surprising and controversial choices while making her best attempt at escaping. As a result of this, let’s just say that we could see Agent Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) go through a series of emotions as he tries to figure out his best move in finding her. He may in the end have to actually “save” Liz while she is trying to escape. Sound complicated? Well, this is a good way to try to get these two characters on more of the same page, at least if this is what this particular tease is alluding to. If one has to save the other, maybe they’ll get a chance to talk some things out?

How does Reddington fit into all of this? For now, this remains the central mystery, especially since it would be almost a waste to see the series go back to being almost what it once was at the start of season 2 following this escape attempt. We hope that there is some shakeup in the dynamic, even if we still want Liz, Red, and the FBI to be all involved.
