‘The X-Files’ spoilers: Latest promo features Gillian Anderson, David Duchovny, and two simple lines

Is Fox going to have any footage of “The X-Files” left by the time the show actually premieres? There is a part of us legitimately wondering that right now, mostly because of the frequency in which they are releasing new promos for the show.

To a certain extent, we understand their desire to hype this up relentlessly. When you have something this beloved, why wouldn’t you try to promote it as much as possible? Then again, the downside is that you’ve only got six episodes coming, and that amounts really to just around four hours and around twenty minutes of actual content. Sooner or later, maybe the show is going to drift to an “American Horror Story” format of giving you almost thematic teasers, which are fairly cool but at the same time do not give anything majorly significant away.

Here is a quick summary of the lines that are in this new teaser:

Mulder – Are you ready for this, Scully?

Scully – I don’t know if there’s a choice.

Somehow, this feels almost like a perfect way to sum up the show, and it is also nice to have just the tiniest bit of new footage from the show to go along with it.

While we joke about Fox giving up all of their footage about this show too early, at the same time we feel like what they are really going to do here is just replay some of these teasers when we get a little bit further into the fall and there are a variety of other things to promote.
