‘Royal Pains’ season 7, episode 8 (finale) video: Evan and Paige prepare for a baby

Throughout this season of “Royal Pains,” Evan and Paige have had baby on the brain after it started to look to the two of them in the premiere that they were going to be parents. When that sadly did not work out, they started to look at other ways to expand their family.

That has led the two of them to be where they are in the sneak peek, where they are at an ultrasound with the mother of the child they are preparing to adopt. They are grateful to be there, and Paige is so excited that she is interested in taking the mother out to lunch after the appointment. It’s certainly a sweet scene for Evan and Paige as they can see their future on the horizon, but is this scene really so simple? We still have our doubts.

For one, we’ve gotten the sense throughout the season that Evan never expected the adoption to come about so quickly, and you have to wonder whether or not he is truly ready to adopt. Also, we have certainly seen many mothers in the position as the one in the preview develop second thoughts and decide to keep the child. After seeing how excited Paige is, maybe this could happen here, as well. We are not going to get too invested into this idea until Evan and Paige actually have the child.
