‘Halt and Catch Fire’ season 2, episode 9 preview: Could disaster bring Joe and Cameron together?

Tonight’s “Halt and Catch Fire” episode reminded us of many things, starting with the fact that while Mutiny is starting to make some headway in the real world (much to the surprise of Cameron in some ways). It also gave us Joe MacMillan having a wild party with Sara, and Gordon getting himself into handcuffs.

Given that there are only two episodes left on the season, you better believe that there are going to be a variety of different problems surfacing. One of the biggest ones is WestNet, presumably the new competition for Mutiny that is under the Jacob Wheeler umbrella. Just in case you were wondering, this is what Wheeler had planned presumably all along in the event the Mutiny acquisition failed. So everyone is in trouble, and we are thoroughly excited to see what happens from here.

Want to see some other news in terms of what to expect? the synopsis below at least offers up some hints:

“Left reeling by the launch of a rival, Mutiny takes measures to ensure its survival. Meanwhile, Gordon pays a price in an attempt to quell his paranoia.”

The promo for this episode suggested that in the midst of all the chaos, it is possible that we could see Joe and Cameron actually find each other yet again on a personal level … and that’s probably not a great thing when you consider their other relationships.
