‘Empire’ season 2 spoilers: Who could be getting a new love interest?

Is there going to be at least some sort of love in the air on “Empire” season 2? We’d say that love may be a little bit of a strong word; lust, meanwhile, is almost surely going to be in the air as we start to learn a thing or two more about what is coming for the Hakeem character.

Per a recent report from E! News, the youngest member of the Lyon clan is going to do his part to impress Laura, a new character who has some serious vocal chops and could be a big deal. He’ll flex some of his professional muscles, but then also take a very strong personal interest in her as well. This means doing what he can to make her want to be with him.

However, we should note here right away that at least at first, Laura is not going to be so interested. Maybe this is something that Hakeem may be able to change here over time, but there’s no guarantee of that. He may have to be careful here, given that if he ultimately pushes a little too hard with his romantic advances, he could end up hurting the business and scare her away.

The second season of “Empire” premieres September 23, and some confirmed guest stars include Marisa Tomei, Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz, and Kelly Rowland. We’ll have more updates as they come out.
