‘Falling Skies’ season 5 spoilers: First news on ‘Pope Breaks Bad’

Are we about to see the character of Pope on “Falling Skies” start to refer to himself as Heisenberg or do elaborate montages set to “Crystal Blue Persuasion”? Probably not, but we can at least tell you right now that the upcoming July 19 installment of the series is called “Pope Breaks Bad.” This is going to be an intense one, as we start to figure out more and more of how this particular character starts to handle the difficult circumstances that are surrounding him in the final season. As we near the final showdown, there is going to be so much more conflict. We’ve already seen some of how Tom’s vision for the future is met with opposition.

“A mission to procure vehicles and fuel goes awry. Cochise shares troubling news with Anne that will test both her medical and leadership skills. Anthony’s mental stability and his loyalties are brought into question. Meanwhile, a desperate Pope takes things into his own hands.”

By the time we make it to the end of this episode, let’s hope for at least a little more clarity on what some of the end plans will be, and also whether or not Anne is ready for what is to come.
