‘Doctor Who’ season 9 now being immortalized in LEGO video game; Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman sign on

Doctor Who -With Comic-Con in San Diego right around the corner, isn’t this really the best time possible to start talking about “Doctor Who” characters being featured in a LEGO video game? We certainly like to think so, which is why we find the following news all the more fun.

Well, the video below shows that there will be a presence for the beloved BBC series in the upcoming LEGO Dimensions game, which is tremendously exciting for those hoping to see something more from a franchise that is already going to be getting immortalized in other forms by the company. Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, and even the Master in Michelle Gomez are all going to be turned into toy form, and this is rather exciting!

Ultimately, this is all icing on the cake for what could be a really big year for the show. Just remember here for a minute or two that “Doctor Who” is going to be a fixture of San Diego Comic-Con later this week, and there could be many secrets and even a preview for the new season revealed there.

With that being said, don’t get too excited anticipating a new video for the season to turn up. This is a show that has been known in the past to debut a trailer at the convention, only to then wait a while before putting it online. We’ll have to see what happens.

The latest “Doctor Who” season should premiere at some point in late August.
