‘Masters of Sex’ season 3 video: Caitlin Fitzgerald on next move in Libby’s story

There are many characters on Showtime’s “Masters of Sex” that have traveled pretty difficult roads over the first two seasons, and Libby Masters could be considered one of them. From some vantage points, you could look at her as a woman who at least has a home over her head. However, how good is that home when everything else falls apart? She has a husband who is unfaithful (how much she knows about that is under debate) and if nothing else, she feels emotionally neglected. Not only that, but there was hardly job security during some of the early years.

However, when season 3 picks up many years later (it premieres on Showtime come July 12), you are going to see a little bit of a different side to Libby. Suddenly, she is more confident and self-assured, and for her the primary focus is that making sure that she keeps her family together, even if she knows some of Bill’s indiscretions.

We’re intrigued to see just what Libby is willing to do in order to ensure that she can keep her family together, since there are more than likely going to be some hard times. Financially, she may not have to worry as much now given the success of the study and the attention that Bill is receiving. However, at the same time is he ever even going to be around now? There are ideas of him and Virginia doing a lengthy tour.
