‘Halt and Catch Fire’ season 2, episode 6 preview: Joe, Jacob Wheeler square off
Joe MacMillan is an ambitious guy, and throughout “Halt and Catch Fire” we have seen him take a variety of risks. With that being said, though, what we are going to see on Sunday night’s new episode is a case of someone who my not be all that interested in taking all of these risks with him. Specifically, we are talking about Jacob Wheeler.
In the sneak peek below, you can see Lee Pace’s character do just about everything that he can in order to negotiate some sort of deal that will continue to give Mutiny a break. He sees them somewhat as a test company for his idea to use resources when they are available at night, and while he probably will not admit it (even with Jacob calling him out on it), he probably does have a soft spot for Cameron still in here and wants to do something in order to help her. Can you really be that surprised by that? You shouldn’t be.
Unfortunately for him, Jacob does seem somewhat interested in finding a way to get something more out of this business arrangement. He wants to give his company’s services fittingly to the highest bidder. This may cause tension, or cause everything that Joe has tried to figure out with Mutiny to completely capsize. Ultimately, if Cameron doesn’t care for him now, how will she feel when she realizes that her deal with him is only temporary?
We’ll be back tomorrow night with a full review of this episode, but there is certainly a reason for optimism when it comes to how much we’re going to be entertained.
