‘Fear the Walking Dead’ spoilers: Latest promo shows early days of Apocalypse

Poster -While we have seen in some various instances a few teases here and there regarding AMC’s upcoming “Fear the Walking Dead,” we actually feel that the latest promo released by the network (see below) is by far the most comprehensive thing that we have seen to date. This offers up an explanation as how some people are handling the spread of the zombie virus in the early going, and apparently part of this includes the media looking the other way.

As a matter of fact, after hearing a plea that the virus should be taken seriously, Kim Dickens’ character more or less offers up that “staying off the internet” as a good piece of advice. We’re not so high on that. The only real piece of advice potentially worth adhering to right now is paying attention to your surroundings. If there are strange things happening and if there is at least a little bit of evidence, isn’t it a good idea to take notice?

We like how there are some other tiny references here and there to some important facets of this story, starting with the presence of some of the school presentations in the background given how Dickens is playing a teacher.  It’s nice to get a real sense as to what this world was like when it was really losing its innocent; “The Walking Dead” itself is a little more primal and is strictly about survival. This, meanwhile, could be more about the journey.
